Biography
Botir (Botirjon) Shermuhammad is a lawyer who gives legal help to labor migrants, mainly Uzbekistanis in Russia.
In a February 2020 Kun.uz interview he is described as a lawyer of the legal portal migrant.mobi; he said he mostly takes part in administrative court hearings and often receives calls from migrants. A weproject.media article of April 2020 (which spells the surname Shermatov and gives the Instagram handle botirjon_shermuhammad) describes him as the founder of the migrant.mobi portal, who brings volunteers together and directs them to people who need help.
The Yuksalish movement's «Top 40 opinion leaders» list (2024) names him as a lawyer and founder of the «Migrant.uz» portal and author of articles and interviews on migration and migrants' rights.
