Feruza Normatova

Feruza Normatova was born on 27 September 1989 in the town of Bakht in the Syrdarya Region. She studied at the Tashkent Culture College in 2005–2008 and at the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan in 2008–2012 (acting and film faculty).

She began in 2008 with music videos and commercials. Her film breakthrough was “Hur qiz” (2011); in later years she appeared in the films “Shu yetmay turuvdi”, “To‘yidan qochganlar”, “Qizalog‘im”, “9-raqamli bemor”, “Tosh tabib” and “Iblis o‘yini”, and in the series “Fitna”, “O‘gay ona”, “Zaharli tomchilar”, “Paxmoq kelin” and “Ojiza”. According to the media and Uzbek Wikipedia, since 2011 she has taken part in more than 70 music videos, films and series.

By her own account, in 2012–2014 she worked at the Uzbek State Drama Theatre and played in more than ten productions (among them “Ming yillik hangoma” and “Qiz kelin”); later, at the Diydor theatre-studio, she played Oyshabegim in “Yulduzli tunlar”, directed by Bahodir Yo‘ldoshev. She described her part in the series “Fitna” (2018) as her first clearly villainous role.

She also performed with the comedy team Million. In 2020 she went to Turkey to film the Uzbek-Turkish historical series “Mendirman Jaloliddin” (“I Am Jalaluddin”); the quarantine kept her from rehearsals, and she said she also wanted to develop dramatic roles. The series began airing on 14 February 2021 on Milliy TV, with Feruza in the cast.

In 2017 she received the chest badge “O‘zbekiston belgisi”. According to Zamin.uz (December 2025), her Instagram page has more than 2 million followers.
