Biography
Gavkhar Sharipova was born in 1980 in Navoi. In 2001 she graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Arts, in drama theatre and film acting.
For a time she worked at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre; her first stage role was Recha in Lessing's «Nathan the Wise».
On screen she played Qaldirgoch in the series «Alpomish» and Mastura in the film «Aldangan ayol», and also appeared in the series «Sarvinoz». Her best-known part is the lead, Nafisa, in the series «Opa-singillar» (2012, 140 episodes) directed by Zamira Begimqulova. She also dubbed several films.
Gavkhar Sharipova died in November 2019, aged 39.
