Biography
Hamid Sodiq is a jurist and political analyst who takes part in socio-political discussions in Uzbek. In the 2025 “Top-40: public opinion leaders” list by YUMH.UZ he is described as a jurist and political analyst whose analytical views are republished and quoted by the media; he is often invited to interviews and also organizes conversations with experts from various fields. The same source names him as one of the organizers of the “Political Scientists' Club”.
His Telegram page “Hamid Sodiq | Rasmiy kanal” calls itself the official page of the jurist Hamid Sodiq; the channel has about 18.6 thousand subscribers.
In a September 2023 “What are we reading?” feature, Gazeta.uz presented him as a political scientist recommending books. In the interview he said he had translated three books and taken part as editor in the translation of another; his first translation was Václav Havel's essay “The Power of the Powerless”.
Kun.uz reported in July 2023 that he spoke at the Tashkent presentation of the book “Manipulative Dictators”, published under his editorship by the Tirilish publishing house, and spoke about the role of translation in a society's development.
