Kirill Altman

Kirill Altman is an Uzbekistani journalist and blogger, born on 21 March 1988 in Urgench. According to Uzbek Wikipedia, before blogging he ran the graphic design agency Brandbox Branding and the online store Days.

His main project is the YouTube channel Alter Ego, which publishes interviews with public figures, entrepreneurs and well-known people, as well as documentary episodes. In 2021 Spot.uz named Roman Saifulin, Murad Nazarov, Sarvar Ruzmatov and others among its guests. Gazeta.uz reviewed Alter Ego in its February 2024 roundup of YouTube projects.

In a March 2020 interview with Fergana he said he prefers to call himself a journalist rather than a blogger; the piece names him as the host of the Telegram channel Altman News.

In 2021, for the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, he was awarded the Shuhrat medal by presidential decree. In February 2024 he was included in the Yuksalish movement's "Top-40" list of opinion leaders, where he is noted as the author of Alter Ego.
