Biography
Normat Tursunov was born on 7 June 1972 in Chinaz district of Tashkent region. In 1994 he started work as a state tax inspector in Tashkent (now Uchtepa district).
In 2010–2015 he was first deputy head of the tax directorate of Jizzakh region, and in 2015–2017 he headed the tax directorate of Navoi region. In 2017–2018 he was deputy chairman of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, and in 2018–2021 head of the tax directorate of Tashkent city.
On 8 November 2021 he was appointed acting governor (hokim) of Navoi region. In November 2022 the regional council confirmed him in the post. In December 2022 he was elected to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
In 2024 he was awarded the Order of Friendship (Do'stlik).
