Biography

Toshpo'lat Matkarimov is an Uzbek estrada singer. In a March 2025 interview with the newspaper Daryo he introduced himself as an Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan.

As a child he sang at school events. In the late 1980s he performed at weddings in Tashkent with a band of Korean musicians; he names 1988–1989 as the most active years of that period.

In 1988 he met the poet Muhammad Yusuf. After beginning to work with the composer Anor Nazarov, he moved from performing foreign melodies with new lyrics to his own repertoire.

Albums: «Ilk sevgi» (2002), «Polvon» (2008), «Muallim» (2018), «Uyqudagi qiz» (2023). Songs were released on music platforms, among them «Armon» (2019), «Quramaga qor tushdi» (2025), «Sanamjon» and «Do'stlarim» (2026).
