Utkir Shodmonov

Utkir (O'tkir) Shodmonov is an Uzbek comic actor. He is a member of the well-known Uzbek comedy team “Million” and of the comedy team “Kosmos”, which grew out of “Million”; the news outlet Daryo calls him a member of “Million”, a member of “Kosmos”, a comic actor and a viner.

Shodmonov is widely known on social media, above all on Instagram, for short humorous videos in the guise of a simple village lad. On his own page he describes himself as an actor and names the teams “Cosmos” and “Million”. In 2023 interviews with Daryo he said that being a village lad himself helped him create the well-known “ena” (mother) humour; his sketch beginning “Alyo, ena” went down well with many at a “Million” concert, after which he began making short comic videos.

“Million” was founded in 2014; its leader and producer is Davron Kabulov. “Kosmos” formed within “Million” and in October 2023 presented its first solo concert programme in a large palace. Shodmonov also takes part in “Million”'s annual concert programmes: Daryo's reports on the concerts at the Friendship of Peoples Art Palace in May 2023 and October 2024 name him as a team member.
