Valijon Shamshiyev

Valijon Shamshiyev is an Uzbek stage actor, comedian and director. His humour relies mostly on transformation: each time a new character with its own voice and personality appears on stage.

He performed in a comic trio with Mirzabek Kholmedov and Shukurullo Isroilov, which many people in Uzbekistan remember from childhood.

Shamshiyev also appeared in film: according to kino-teatr.ru, in several films and series released from the mid-1990s to the late 2000s. He is the author of the book “Zhivu smeyas” (“I Live Laughing”), which presents humour as a way of life rather than a profession.
