Yuliy Yusupov

Yuliy Yusupov is an economist based in Tashkent whom the media describe as an independent expert. Spot.uz (2018), Check-point.kz (2021) and Anhor.uz (2025) present him as director of the Center for Assistance to Economic Development; the Fergana agency in 2023 called him the center's scientific director and a member of the Public Council for the Support of Entrepreneurship under the President.

By his own account, he has carried out economic research for international organizations as well as marketing research and business consulting; the research covered the development of insurance, agrarian reform and economic policy in general. He teaches short courses on rich and poor countries and is the author of the article “Prospects for the Democratization of Central Asian Countries Through the Eyes of an Economist”.

Yusupov comments on economic policy in Kun.uz, Anhor.uz, Spot.uz and other outlets and runs the Telegram channel “Yuliy Yusupov” (about 5,800 subscribers in early 2026). In August 2025 Anhor.uz summarized his channel post naming protection of property rights, predictable policy and competitive private investment as key conditions for national wealth. In February 2024 he appeared in the “Top-40: Public Opinion Leaders” ranking published by an outlet linked to the Yuksalish movement.
