The Marvelous Dreamer (Ajoyib xayolparast) is a 1977 Uzbek Soviet film directed by Ravil Batyrov, who wrote the script with D. Bulgakov. It is based on Odil Yoqubov's story «Baxt qushi» (The Bird of Happiness). Hasan, a village doctor, loves his wife Tamila deeply and tries to make her happy. When a patient tells him that raising rabbits can bring a large income, the dreamy Hasan becomes absorbed in the idea and gradually grows distant from his wife, his family and the villagers. Bakhtiyor Ikhtiyorov plays Hasan and Aida Yunusova plays Tamila; Ikhtiyorov named it one of his best roles.
