A two-part television drama from the Sverdlovsk Film Studio based on Daniil Granin's novella. Passing a mathematics conference in Leningrad, Kuzmin sees his surname on the delegate list and goes in. A speaker presents a method built on the 'Kuzmin equation' from a paper thirty years old. Kuzmin had left science for industrial work, and the film reconstructs the past. Directed by Olgerd Vorontsov.
