Biography
Behzod Anvarovich Musaev was born in 1973 in Tashkent. In 1995 he graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics with a degree in economics. In 2004 he completed a business programme at the Higher School of Business of an academy under the President of Uzbekistan.
He began his career in 1995 at the National Bank of Uzbekistan and from 1998 worked at the Ministry of Finance. In 2006–2010 he chaired the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan.
In 2010–2011 he was First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee, and in 2018–2020 he chaired the committee.
In May 2020 he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for social development. In July 2020 he temporarily performed the duties of Minister of Health.
From 11 November 2021 to 2022 he was Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From December 2022 to September 2024 he was Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
From September 2024 he was director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers. In September 2026 he was released from this post by a presidential decree; the official announcement stated that he was moving to other work.
