Biography
Laziz Kudratov was born in Tashkent. He graduated from the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies and studied at Hosei University in Japan. In 2003–2010 he held various posts at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, and in 2010–2014 he was trade and economic adviser at Uzbekistan's embassy in the United States.
In 2014–2016 he directed the Uzinfoinvest agency, and from 2017 he was First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Investments. When the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade was formed in 2019, he became its First Deputy Minister; in August 2021 he was also entrusted with leading the Strategic Development Agency.
On 30 December 2022 a presidential decree named him Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade among the heads of the ministries reorganised from 1 January; he kept the post in the Cabinet approved by the Legislative Chamber in November 2024. A decree of 22 August 2026 awarded him the Order of Friendship (Do'stlik).
