Munojot Yo'lchiyeva

Munojot Yo'lchiyeva (born 26 November 1960) is an Uzbek singer, a performer of classical Uzbek music and shashmaqam. Known in Russian as Munadjat Yulchieva.

She was born in the Buloqboshi district of Andijan region, Uzbek SSR. She entered the Tashkent State Conservatory in 1978 in the traditional singing class of Shawqat Mirzaev, and graduated in 1985.

In 1980–1982 she was a soloist of the maqom ensemble of Uzteleradio, and from 1982 a soloist of the Uzbek State Philharmonia.

She has given concerts in Asia, Europe, America and Africa. Her recordings were released by the French label Ocora (1994) and the German label Network (1997).

Her repertoire includes shashmaqam and maqoms, folk songs, and works by Shawqat Mirzaev.

In 1990 she was awarded the title Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR, and in 1994 People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 1997 she won the international festival Sharq Taronalari.

She received the orders El-yurt hurmati (1998), Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun (2004), Buyuk xizmatlari uchun (2011) and Mehnat shuhrati (2019). On 24 August 2021 she was made Hero of Uzbekistan. In 2024 she received the honorary title People's Hafiz of Tajikistan.

On 16 November 2024 she was appointed a senator of the Oliy Majlis by presidential decree.
