Biography
Murodjon Azimov was born in 1976 in Kashkadarya region. He graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute in 1998.
From 1998 to 2014 he worked in the prosecution service: as an investigator in the Karshi city prosecutor's office, then as deputy regional prosecutor and district prosecutor. In 2014–2016 he was prosecutor of Bukhara region.
From September 2016 he served as Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan. In 2018 he was appointed chairman of the State Customs Committee and in the same year was given the rank of major general of the customs service. He led the committee until 2021.
From 18 November 2021 he acted as hokim of Kashkadarya region; by a presidential decree of 22 April 2022 he was appointed hokim of the region.
He received the Order of Labour Glory in 2021 and the Order For Selfless Service in 2026.
