Biography
Nigmatilla Yuldashev was born on 5 November 1962 in Tashkent. He graduated from the law faculty of Tashkent State University in 1985 and has worked in the prosecution service since 1986.
In the 1990s he worked as a prosecutor and department head in the Prosecutor General's Office. In 2000–2003 he headed the office's internal security inspection, and in 2008–2011 he was Deputy Prosecutor General.
He served as Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan in 2011–2015. In January 2015 he was elected to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and became its chairman, a post he held until June 2019.
On 20 June 2019 he was appointed Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan by presidential decree. In June 2024 the Senate approved him for a second term.
Since 2019 he has also been president of the Uzbekistan kurash federation. In 2025 he was awarded the rank of State Counsellor of Justice, 2nd class. In October 2025 Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded him the Order of Friendship.
