Ruxshona
Uzbek pop singer, film actress and TV presenter, active since 2010; known for the song “Yuragim” and the 2011 album “Azizim”.
Biography
Ruxshona (full name Rukhshona Toyir qizi Mahmudova) was born on 21 March 1994. From 2007 to 2010 she studied at the Republican Variety and Circus College.
She began her singing career in 2010. Her first single, “Yuragim”, became a hit in Uzbekistan, and her first album, “Azizim”, followed in 2011. That year she also recorded a duet with the Russian singer Avraam Russo.
Ruxshona has also worked in film: she played the lead in “Shomurod va Durdona” (2010), the role of Nozima in “Enagalar” (2011), and appeared in “Andijonlik mehmon” (2012). She sang in the films “Zamonaviy sovchilar” (2011) and “Zamonaviy sovchilar 3” (2014).
