Shahriyor

Shahriyor (full name Shahriyor Argonov) was born on 15 April 1989 in Samarkand. He began his musical career as a rapper in the early 2000s; he says he took up music at fifteen or sixteen and later moved toward national and modern pop. He did not attend a music college, but studied pop acting for two years.

His breakthrough was the song “Seni ko'rdim”, which is still popular on social networks. Other songs include “Isming yuragimda”, “Do'stmisan”, “Uzilgan aloqa” and “O'rik gullaganda”. In the second half of the 2000s he worked with the Tarona Records studio; his activity slowed after 2010.

Shahriyor played the lead role in the film “Tashlandiq” and performed its soundtrack, which made him known as an actor as well. He also recorded songs for the films “Suiqasd” (“Rasvo”) and “Bo'rilar”. His collaborations include “Bo'rilar” (with Shohruxxon), “Mana soqqa” (with Shokir and Daler Ametist) and “Kerakligimda” (with Milena Madmusayeva).

According to a 2024 profile, he divides his time between the United States and Uzbekistan.
