Sherzod Qudbiyev

Sherzod Davlyatovich Qudbiyev was born on 12 April 1981 in Fergana region, Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Fergana Polytechnic Institute in finance and credit, as an economist.

From 2002 to 2007 he worked as an assistant and lecturer at departments of the Fergana Polytechnic Institute. In 2007–2016 he served in the Ministry of Employment and Social Protection and then in the analytical department of the Cabinet of Ministers; in 2012–2015 he was director of the Republican Research Centre for Employment, Labour Protection and Social Protection of the Population.

In 2016–2018 he was hokim of the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. In 2018–2019 he was Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, and in 2019–2020 an adviser to the President on civil service and relations with representative bodies.

From May 2020 to 2022 he headed the State Tax Committee. In April 2022 he was elected chairman of the Table Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan. In 2022–2023 he was Minister of Economy and Finance.

From 3 August 2023 he was chairman of the Tax Committee under the Cabinet of Ministers. On 20 November 2025 the President relieved him of the post of tax committee chairman; the same day the National Committee for Sustainable Development of Urbanization and the Housing Market was created, and he was appointed its chairman.
