Biography
Shuhrat Ganiyev was born on 11 September 1968 in Margilan, Fergana region. He graduated from the Tashkent State Agrarian University in 1992 and from the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute in 2005.
From 1989 to 2007 he worked in the consumer cooperative system of Fergana region and in the Agrokimyo joint-stock companies, then in the state joint-stock company O'zkimyosanoat. In 2008–2011 he was first deputy hokim of Fergana region.
In 2011 he served as acting hokim of Fergana region; from 14 December 2012 to 25 September 2020 he was its hokim. In 2012–2020 he was a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
In September 2020 he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for agrarian and food sector development. On 4 January 2023 he became deputy adviser to the President on economic, investment and foreign trade issues.
In August 2023 he was appointed presidential adviser on agrarian development. Whether he still holds this post has not been confirmed.
