Umid Gafurov
Founder and author of the Troll.uz blog and Telegram channel; he also founded the Tirikchilik brand and the Tanish Bilish advertising agency.
Biography
Umid Gafurov is the founder and author of the Troll.uz blog. According to Spot.uz, Troll.uz began in July 2013 as an anonymous entertainment project; in 2012 he had run a Facebook page about Bukhara.
Over time the blog, alongside humour, took up social issues. Several projects grew around Troll.uz: the Tanish Bilish advertising agency (founded in 2018, connecting advertisers with bloggers), a donation tool for supporting authors, and Tirikchilik.
Tirikchilik is a merch and donation platform for authors created under the Troll.uz brand. It began in 2022 as a Telegram bot, sold online for two years, and in 2024 an offline store of about 100 sq m (a sales area and a cafe) opened in central Tashkent. In an interview with Spot.uz Gafurov said the aim of these projects is to build an ecosystem.
