Biography
Zoyir Mirzayev was born in 1968 in Samarkand Region. He studied at the Tashkent Finance Institute from 1989 to 1994 and worked in the financial system.
He was hokim of Jomboy district in 2003–2004, then deputy hokim of Samarkand Region, hokim of Samarkand city in 2008–2010 and hokim of Samarkand Region in 2010–2016.
In December 2016 he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, overseeing the agro-industrial complex. He lost the ministerial post in February 2018 and was released from the Deputy Prime Minister post by decree in October 2018.
In November 2018 he became hokim of Sharof Rashidov district in Jizzakh Region, and from October 2019 he headed Kashkadarya Region. He was acting hokim of Tashkent Region from November 2021.
On 22 September 2022 the Tashkent Regional Council confirmed him as hokim of the region.
