During the Second World War near Tashkent, cadets are training to become officers. Cadet Boris Tiraspolsky takes a training plane to visit his girlfriend, is court-martialled and, with his comrades, sent to a penal battalion. The two-part film was directed by Vilen Novak at the Odesa Film Studio; Rustam Urazaev plays the security officer.
