With Love and Pain is the television version of Eldor Ishmukhamedov's film Shock. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tashkent journalist Murad Yakubov writes about a teacher, Azim Nuriev, accused of bribery, and an all-night conversation reveals a chain of wrongdoing among the republic's leadership. The script is by Odelsha Agishev, Jasur Iskhakov and Ishmukhamedov himself; it was made at Uzbekfilm in 1989.
