Biography
Jalolitdin Pakhritdinovich Mukhitdinov is an Uzbek scientist working on the automation and modelling of chemical-technological processes. He holds the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences and is a professor in the Automation of Production Processes department at Tashkent State Technical University. He was born in Tashkent on 13 April 1948.
He attended School No. 65 in Tashkent from 1955 to 1966, then entered the chemical-technology faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1971 as a process engineer specialising in the automation and comprehensive mechanisation of chemical-technological processes. He was assigned to the Institute of Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR.
In 1975 he began postgraduate studies at the Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology and in 1978 defended his candidate’s dissertation. From 1979 to 1987 he worked at the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, first as an assistant and then as head of the Technical Cybernetics department. From 1987 to 1991 he was head of a department and deputy director for research at the Interbranch Institute for Advanced Training.
Between 1992 and 1995 he was an associate professor and head of the academic office at Tashkent State Technical University. From 1995 to 2000 he ran the joint-stock company Biokimyo, first as director and then as chairman. From 2001 until November 2004 he headed the academic office of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
Since December 2004 he has been a professor of the Automation of Production Processes department at Tashkent State Technical University. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2012.
His recent articles deal with drying processes: a review of technologies and devices for drying grain and oilseeds, ways to raise the productivity and energy efficiency of a drum grain dryer, and a simulation model of urea drying and granulation in a fluidised bed.
