Biography
Sanjar Maksudov is an Uzbekistani restaurateur and IT entrepreneur. According to a Spot.uz interview (March 2019), he was born in 1977 in Tashkent and graduated from the international economic relations faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Oriental Studies. He first worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, then in supplying gas equipment.
Since 2003 he has been managing partner of the Smart Group restaurant holding, whose venues have included Manas, Budilnik and Steam bar. He has also taken part in IT projects such as Jowi, a restaurant and retail automation system.
Spot.uz covered his 2022 talk on his own business mistakes at Fuckup Night and later published his columns on business topics. He is on the list of nominees of Influencer Awards 2023 in the Business category, where the awards site describes him as a restaurateur and IT entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience.
