Syny otechestva is a black-and-white drama made by Uzbekfilm in 1968, directed by Latif Faiziev from a script by Sarvar Azimov and Nikolai Rozhkov. It is a triptych of three novellas in which different people recount the same events. At an exhibition of paintings by prisoners of German concentration camps, the teacher Elena recognises her husband Iskander in a portrait, while the exhibition's organiser insists it shows another man. Elena travels to West Germany to learn the truth.
