Ilham, a seventh-grader, spends his holidays in a mountain village with relatives and clashes with his strict, proud uncle Azim. He befriends old Khamrakul-buva, who looks after an ancient tree, helps him tend it and tries to grow a blue rose that the old man's son, who never came back from the war, had dreamed of. The children's film was made at Uzbekfilm in 1978, directed by Akhror Akbarkhodzhaev and based on early stories by Dzhasur Ishakov.
