Surgeon Alim Sabirov, worried for a patient's life, offers his help to Valieva, a protege of the hospital head who is preparing to defend a dissertation. After a failed operation the patient dies. It was Rashid Malikov's first full-length feature as a director, from his own screenplay, made at Uzbekfilm in 1987.
