Coup by Instruction 107 (1982)

In an oil-rich country of the East, socialists win the elections, but Western powers unwilling to lose their oil concessions stage a coup. A local journalist, Haydar, and Halima Atadjanova, a Soviet doctor at a Red Cross hospital, are declared Soviet intelligence agents. Halima is arrested and her twelve-year-old son Iskander is taken hostage. Directed by Zagid Sabitov at Uzbekfilm in 1982, the film received a jury diploma at the 1983 All-Union Film Festival.
